John Excell Marine Surveys

I offer a range of personalised sailing and motor yacht marine surveys and consultancy services to private boat owners, commercial operators, and insurance and finance providers.

Based in the south coast village of Emsworth in Hampshire I have good access to all the south coast harbours and marinas as well as good communication links to the rest of the UK and Europe.

I have over 20 years of extensive and technical marine industry experience and 30 years of inshore and offshore boating experience of sail and motor yachts and commercial fishing vessels.

I am a graduate of the Southampton based Yacht Manufacturing Technology course and a Full Member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors. I am covered by full professional indemnity insurance and my knowledge is kept up to date through a monitored process of continuous professional development.
